2019 stats (Omaha): 161 PA, .215/.267/.376/.643, 6 2B, 6 HR, 33 K, 11 BBDueñez got off to a dreadful start at NWA to begin 2019, but has picked it up a bit since. Coming into 2019, all Dueñez had ever done was hit, so I’m willing to look past a slow start. The power seems to have increased a bit for Dueñez, even through his struggles, as he’s hit 7 HR already and we’re not quite to the AAA All-Star Break. I don’t know that Dueñez will every be a big league regular at first base, but if he can grow into some more power and improve his plate discipline just a touch, he could provide some value as a left-handed bat with pop off the bench.
