Royals Trade Rosenthal for Olivares

UPDATE 3:55 – Olivares and a PTBNL.

Per source, the deal sending Trevor Rosenthal to SD for Edward Olivares and a PTBNL is agreed upon and they are simply finishing up the medicals. Could happen officially shortly.

UPDATE 3:31 PM – It sounds like OF Edward Olivares will be coming to KC. The 24-year-old Olivares made his MLB debut with the Padres this season.

The Royals have traded reliever free agent to be Trevor Rosenthal to the Padres for two prospects. The trade is pending physicals and the players to he traded to the Royals are not yet known. More to come.

Two prospects are going to be headed to Kansas City if the deal, which is pending medicals, is completed as expected. First on the deal was Trevor Rosenthal's Uncle Ken.

(Editor's note: @Ken_Rosenthal isn't actually Trevor's uncle. Trevor is too tall for that to be the case.)
