Please be sure to check out the newest episode of the RFR Podcast. Josh, Joel, and I sit down to talk about some hypotheticals with the Royals top prospects that are in Kansas City already. Then we get into the Minor League Minute where we recap the young starters debuting in Columbia and the week Vinnie Pasquantino had in Omaha.
AAA Omaha (22-21): W 19-0
Omaha got back over .500 yesterday with a dominating victory over the Louisville bats. Writing this paragraph is just going to piss me off so I’ll just throw up the box score and link the videos.
Box Score:
– Ivan Castillo: 4-6, 2B, BB
– Nick Pratto: 2-6, HR, BB, 2 K

AA Northwest Arkansas (20-20): W 11-3
The Naturals bats continue to be red hot. Maikel Garcia, Nick Loftin, Michael Massey, and Tucker Bradley all reached base multiple times while Alec Marsh struck out 10 batters again on the mound. Things won’t get any easier for Midland tonight as Drew Parrish toes the rubber.
Box Score:
– Maikel Garcia: 2-5, BB, SB, 2 K
– Nick Loftin: 0-4, 2 BB
– Michael Massey: 2-4, 2B
– Robbie Glendinning: 2-5, K

A+ Quad Cities (15-25): PPD due to rain
The River Bandits were winning 5-2 in the 3rd inning before the game was suspended due to rain. They’ll make that game up today before their regularly scheduled game.
A- Columbia (12-29): W 2-1
A rare win for the Fireflies last night as Shane Panzini made his professional debut and looked dominant on the mound. Columbia has scored just 25 runs in their last 9 games, averaging fewer than 3 runs per game, so the offense is still a problem, but when that pitching staff is on…they have been really good at times this spring.
Box Score:
– River Town: 0-4, K
– Omar Hernandez: 1-3, BB, 2 K
– Darryl Collins: 1-4, 2B, K
– Carter Jensen: 0-4, 2 K
– Erick Pena: 1-4, HR, K
– Daniel Vazquez: 0-4, 4 K
– Omar Florentino: 0-2, BB, 2 K
– Shane Panzini: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 4 K, 0 R
