- I’m anxious to see how Kris Bubic looks today. He’s been pretty bad in the early going and I’m getting pretty tired of watching him struggle so mightily with his control. It’s almost inexcusable from a big league pitcher. He’s got to be in the strike zone more often than he has been. I’d rather watch Jon Heasley get knocked around the park than watch Kris Bubic walk the world. Not saying he won’t get it fixed, just that it’s been bad thus far.
- Angel Zerpa has been better than his numbers suggest, I think. His walks are down and his BABIP is unsustainably high right now. Just from watching the games, I kind of wonder if some of the remaining “super happy fun balls” didn’t trickle down to AA, which would be a logical reason for the ball flying around down there.
