Minor League Minutes: 4/14/22

Be sure to check out all of the minor league roster breakdowns that Jared did. He did an awesome job of doing in-depth analysis of all four Royals affiliates and the players at each position on their respective rosters.

Jensen was one of the players I was most excited to see taken in the 2021 MLB Draft. He is a local kid who the Royals took in the 3rd round out of Park Hill High School and was considered one of the best hitting catchers in the draft. Unlike Frank Mozzicato and Ben Kudrna, the Royals decided to be more aggressive with Jensen assigning him to Low-A to start the year.

Likewise, we broke down the minor league rosters on the RFR Podcast a couple of weeks ago. Be sure to check out our “Podcast” page on the website for links to all of the most recent editions of the RFR Podcast.

AAA Omaha (3-5): L 4-5, W 4-1

The Storm Chasers dropped their suspended game last night, but they won the regularly scheduled game on the back of a brilliant performance by Jonathan Heasley to start the game. Josh Dye was also very good in relief for Omaha after what was sort of a breakout year for the funky lefty in AA last season. Emmanuel Rivera carried the offense in game two with a double and a home run. Omaha is back at it tonight at 6:35 pm.
