I want to start the Minutes off today with a tip of the cap to Daniel Lynch. What a freaking outing yesterday, eh? 8 shutout innings with 4 K and 0 BB and never even came close to looking uncomfortable on the mound. There were a lot of folks who went into panic mode after he and Kowar looked completely rattled earlier in the season, but this kid looks legit. He graduated from our rankings yesterday, so he won’t be in the top 30 later this week, but we had him ready to roll at #2. Loved seeing him be so good yesterday. Hopefully he can be just as dominant this weekend in Toronto.
Be sure to check out our new t-shirt line over at Glory Days Threads.
AAA Omaha (42-28): W 9-6
Nick Pratto hit a grand slam in the 7th inning yesterday and Omaha took the lead for good. Pratto and Witt Jr. haven’t missed a beat since being promoted to AAA and we’re looking like it’s more and more likely that we could see both of them in the big leagues sometime this season. Omaha travels to Toledo today for a 6-game set starting Tuesday.
