The Naturals faced off against one of the Dodgers top pitching prospects in Ryan Pepiot last night. MJ Melendez greeted him with a 418-foot bomb in the first inning, and the Naturals would not score again for the rest of the night. Angel Zerpa was fantastic on the mound and actually outpitched Pepiot, but the bullpen couldn’t hold the lead.

Asa Lacy left the game in the 3rd inning with the trainer last night. He looked pretty bad before exiting. A bad season gets worse for the 4th overall pick in last year’s draft. Hopefully he’s okay.
