AAA Omaha (40-26): L 6-7

The Storm Chasers have now lost both of their games with Witt Jr. and Pratto in the lineup. Jackson Kowar will be on the mound tomorrow to try and right the ship.

Box Score:
– Lucius Fox: 0-5, 2 K

AA Northwest Arkansas (35-32): L 2-3

The Naturals faced off against one of the Dodgers top pitching prospects in Ryan Pepiot last night. MJ Melendez greeted him with a 418-foot bomb in the first inning, and the Naturals would not score again for the rest of the night. Angel Zerpa was fantastic on the mound and actually outpitched Pepiot, but the bullpen couldn’t hold the lead.

Box Score:
– Clay Dungan: 2-3, BB
– MJ Melendez: 1-4, HR, 2 K
– Vinnie Pasquantino: 1-3, IBB
– Dairon Blanco: 1-4, 3 K
– Angel Zerpa: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 6 K, 1 ER

A+ Quad Cities (45-21): W 9-4

The River Bandits have not missed a beat in the absence of Vinnie Pasquantino. They have scored 16 runs in two games and show no signs of slowing down. Asa Lacy left the game in the 3rd inning with the trainer last night. He looked pretty bad before exiting. A bad season gets worse for the 4th overall pick in last year’s draft. Hopefully he’s okay.

Box Score:
– Maikel Garcia: 0-4, BB, 2 K
– Tucker Bradley: 1-4, 3 K
– Michael Massey: 2-4, 2B, BB, K
– Seuly Matias: 1-5, 3B, 3 K
– Asa Lacy: 2.2 IP, 4 H, 3 BB, 2 K, 4 ER
– Will Klein: 3 IP, 1 BB, 0 H, 3 K

A- Columbia (32-32): W 7-5

Anderson Paulino turned in one hell of a start last night to get the Fireflies the W. The offense racked up 12 hits, walked 6 times, and the defense was superb behind Paulino. The Fireflies will play a double header today to make up for Tuesday’s rainout.

Box Score:
– Herard Gonzalez: 1-5, K
– Tyler Tolbert: 2-5, K
– Darryl Collins: 1-4
– Juan Carlos Negret: 0-3, BB, K
– Kale Emshoff: 1-4, 3 K
– Saul Garza: 2-4, 2 2B, 2 K
– Omar Hernandez: 1-3, BB, K
– Diego Hernandez: 3-4, 2 2B, K
– Gage Hughes: 1-4, HR, K
– Anderson Paulino: 5 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 7 K, 0 R
