*Ervin Santana has started one game for the Royals this season. He went 3.0 innings against the Jays on April 17. Santana has had one outing of 4.0 innings and two outings of 3.0 innings.
*It’s Carlos Hernandez’s spot in the Storm Chasers rotation. Hernandez is back with the Royals, however, so we don’t know who is going to make the start yet.
*Derrick Adams is set to make his first MiLB start for NWA. Adams is a LHP from the 2018 draft. The Royals selected him in the 27th round from Jacksonville State.
*The River Bandits will play a double header Saturday starting at 5:00 PM. Grant Gambrell was slated to start on Friday so he will just move to Saturday. Gambrell is 2-0 for the Quad Cities. Zerpa has had a fantastic season so far averaging 5.0 innings per start while striking out seven and allowing three hits per start. Zerpa has only walked three hitters in his four starts. The Dragons will have their hands full with these two River Bandit starters in this double header.
*Matt Stil will start for the Fireflies. He is averaging 3.0 innings per start but not because he is giving up runs. Opponents are hitting just .159 aginst him with 22 strikeouts in 12.2 innings. Stil has given up just seven hits but has also walked nine.
