MLB Debut: Ryan McBroom

McBroom made his MLB Debut on September 3 against the Detroit Tigers in Kansas City.  The first pitcher he faced was Tigers LHP Daniel Norris.  The first pitch McBroom saw was a 93 mph fastball down the middle which he took for a strike.

One year ago, Joel looked at how the prospects that the Royals got in the Jon Jay, Kelvin Herrera and Mike Moustakas trades were faring

Mike Moustakas Trade
Brett Phillips (MLB)
27 G, .202/.265/.360, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 61 wRC+
The bat is still a work in progress, but his defensive prowess has made Phillips one of the more fun players to watch on the Royals. His arm is no joke, and makes him a force in the outfield. He needs to be an everyday outfielder for this team, he is too good defensively not to have out there. He could have a 75 wRC+ over a full season next season and I will still argue that he needs to be there everyday.
