There is some playoff baseball on tap today in the Dominican Republic. The DSL Royals 1 team plays early at 9:30 CST against the DSL Rockies. The game will actually start at the same time this post goes live so go check it out here. The Royals have a 1-0 advantage in the series. The series is a best-of-three format so the Royals could win the series today.
Charlie Neuweiler is starting for Lexington today. I saw him pitch live twice this summer and came away unimpressed. However, aside from his last start, Neuweiler seems to have turned the corner and is throwing better.
Foster Griffin was named to the All-PCL Team yesterday as the LH starting pitcher. Griffin’s 5.35 ERA is leading the league for qualified LHPs. You think the ball has made a drastic change to Triple-A when your ERA leader is over 5.00?
Rito Lugo looks to do well for the Blue Rocks and Gerson Garabito looks to keep the Naturals on the winning side of things today.
