Brad Keller was stellar for 6.0. Then lost his no-hit bid in the 7th. Keller isn’t exactly home grown but he is a Rule 5 investment that you could say the Royals helped develope.
The Storm Chasers had the day off.
The Naturals had a dominate start from Brady Singer. He went 7.0 innings combining with Grant Gavin and Tyler Zuber for a shutout. Story from MILB.com on Singer allowing just 4 hits and 2 BB with 9 strike outs.
The Blue Rocks game was suspended on the top of the 9th with a 2-2 score.
Yohansel Morel didn’t make it out of the 1st inning for the Legends. The Legends got beat 11-1 but Bryce Hensley did throw 5.0 innings in relief without allowing a run to save the bullpen.
The B-Royals had the day off.
The Chukars got beat 6-5 giving up a run in the bottom of the 8th. Juan Carlos Negret hit his 9th homer of the year while Stephen Vidal hit his 2nd.
The Arizona Royals got beat 7-6. Bobby Witt Jr. and Herard Gonzalez each had two hits while Jimmy Govern had three. The A-Royals are now 26-18.
Clayton Kershaw tied Sandy Koufax on the Dodgers all-time win list and had 7 consecutive strikeouts to open the game. He had Lewis Brinson down 0-2 looking for his 8th but Brinson grounded out to short.
Bryce Harper homered twice while JT Realmuto hit a grand slam and the Phillies won 11-1.
