NWA Week in Review: July 15-21

Nick Heath started the week off continuing on his hot streak with a multi-hit game on Tuesday at Corpus Christi in the Naturals’ win. Heath hit his sixth home run of the season as well as singling in the game. Taylor Featherston also homered for the Naturals, and had a huge week overall.

Ryan O’Hearn is on fire in Omaha

On June 14, O’Hearn was sent down to AAA Omaha to hit the reset button. He was working hard to get out of his season long slump, but was getting frustrated with his struggles. He needed to get some consistent at bats in a lineup, and with the various call ups and changes, that was not happening with the Royals.

Another quality start twirled by Brady Singer.

Gave-up a wall-scraping homer in the 6th inning, following an error; but still fanned 7 in the game.

6.0IP, 4H, 2R/1ER, 2BB, 7K — 95 pitches, 58 strikes.

Fourth quality start since joining the #NWANaturals and third straight.

I have never seen anything smoother than the backdoor pick off play MJ Melendez and Nick Pratto has mastered. They get another runner in a big spot to help Bubic get out of a long inning. Absolutely impressive stuff by the two 20-year-olds.
