Per Alec Lewis of The Athletic, Brady Singer will soon be joining the Naturals’ rotation.
Brady Singer, who recently got a bump in our site rankings, has been absolutely DEALING in High-A Wilmington, and just made one of the best starts of his young professional career.
Here’s his season stat line with the Blue Rocks:
57.2 IP, 53 K, 13 BB, 1.87 ERA, .248 BAA, 1.11 WHIP
Singer is far too advanced to remain in A-ball. Credit where it’s due to the Royals front office for not waiting to long to get Singer to AA. Singer’s stuff isn’t necessarily dominant, but his combination of control and mound presence have proven too much for Carolina League hitters.
Singer will now move to AA where he’ll join a Naturals rotation that hasn’t been fantastic to start 2019. He figures to make his AA either this Saturday or Sunday in Springfield, MO, against the Cardinals’ AA affiliate.

Congrats to Singer. Smart move to give him the rest of 2018 off to recoop. If he can hold his own in AA, I’d look for a Sept call up to get his cup of coffee for 2019 and an invite to the big league camp for 2020. Let’s see if Lynch and the others follow soon.
Curious about who these guys displace in AA. None of the AA SP look like they are having a great start to the season based on ERA.
