I may or may not have leaked our #3 Royals prospect last night.

“In any other year, ________ would’ve seen Wilmington in 2018 with a shot to begin 2019 in AA. He absolutely dominated his first bout with professional baseball, and had it not been for the Lexington Legends competing for a playoff spot, _________ would’ve almost certainly been promoted to Wilmington.”

Drew takes a look at a wild card in the Royals system: Marcelo Martinez.

ESPN’s Keith Law listed Khalil Lee and Daniel Lynch in his list of top 100 prospects.

“Law sees Lynch with a mid-90s fastball and “an above-average slider and changeup and good deception from his delivery.” Law thinks many teams will regret passing on Lynch, commenting in his chat session that “if they redid the draft today, he’d go in the top 10.”

Over at Royals Review, I took a look at how Whit Merrifield’s new contract may impact prospects like Nicky Lopez, Michael Gigliotti, Kyle Isbel, among others.

“Then the question becomes focused around the Royals outfield prospects. Will an outfield consisting of Kyle Isbel, Seuly Matias, Michael Gigliotti, Blake Perkins, and Khalil Lee be a better option for KC by 2021?”
