The Wilmington Blue Rocks announced yesterday that four Royals prospects are headed to the Carolina League (High-A) All-Star Game to honor their first half performances.
Bryan Brickhouse, DJ Burt, Kort Peterson, and Royals top prospect Khalil Lee will all represent the Wilmington Blue Rocks in the Carolina League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 19th, at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, North Carolina.
- Khalil Lee currently owns a slash line of .285/.426/.445 with 4 HR and 12 SB in 59 games. The Royals top prospect has looked fantastic all season long and is starting to tap back into his power as of late.
- DJ Burt, maybe the most interesting prospect on the team, owns a slash line of .300/.398/.373 with 16 SB and a 122 wRC+ in 42 games.
- Kort Peterson has been crushing the ball all year, owns a slash line of .299/.370/.515 with 8 HR and 4 SB in 55 games. I would expect him to start the 2nd half of the season with AA Northwest Arkansas.
- Bryan Brickhouse has dominated hitters since rejoining the organization this spring. The 26-year old has an ERA of 1.86 and is striking out 12.57 hitters/9 innings. I would expect him to be in AA soon as well.
Congrats to this year’s All-Stars!
