Breaking News: Royals select LHP Kris Bubic from Stanford, their 4th college pitcher tonight

With the 40th pick of the 2018 MLB Draft, the Kansas City Royals selected LHP Kris Bubic from Stanford.

The Royals 4th college pitcher of the night, the Royals are clearly making a statement with how they view their farm system. Bubic is a great get for KC here at #40, as our very own Patrick Brennan loved Bubic for the Royals here.

Kris Bubic is #43 on Keith Law’s board. “Will touch 95 with a plus change and average breaking ball, showing very good command for a college guy, though he doesn’t hold his velocity well into starts. He could sneak into the later first round.” Another college arm.
