Minor League Minutes: 5/22/18

Low-A Lexington had a field day Monday against the Rome Braves; winning 18-2 and MJ Melendez set a new single-game career high in RBIs for the second time this week.

The bats certainly came out for prospects in Lexington.

MJ Melendez: 3-6, HR, 2 2B, 6 RBIs

Dennicher Carrasco: 5-for-6, 2 RBIs

Brewer Hicklen: 4-for-6, HR, 2 2B, 3 RBI

Adam McInturff, Assistant Director @2080ball, is in Kentucky this week and likes what he sees from Nick Pratto.

In the bluegrass state for vs Nick Pratto just took the best round of BP I’ve seen this year. Sprayed line drives pole to pole, finished w/ two pullside bombs. Strong hands that can stay inside the ball with power he doesn’t sell out for.

Rule-5 pick Brad Keller pitched a 1-2-3 eighth inning yesterday to record his fifth hold of the season for the major league club, @paintingcorner with the recap.

We found out Terrance Gore is one of the nicer guys in the organization.

Jordan Hicks threw a 105-MPH fastball.

Juan Soto was in AA a week ago, on Monday he hit his first home-run in his first major-league at-bat.
