Exciting Time for Us at Royals Farm Report

As many of you are by now aware, the KC Royals plan on entering a bit of a rebuild mode, starting in the immediate future. This means new names, faces, and prospects will be coming to your favorite team soon.

It’s a very exciting time for those of us who cover Minor League Baseball, because many people in KC will now turn to guys like us to keep them in the loop about the next wave of great prospects. About eight years ago, KC was becoming more and more familiar with guys like Eric Hosmer, Mike Moustakas, Salvador Perez, and Danny Duffy.

All of those guys were “Raised Royal” and fans got to watch them grow from young men to full grown adults in front of our very eyes.

That’s our goal here at Royals Farm Report. We want to share our love for Minor League Baseball with the fans so that you can better know our prospects before they ever debut. Some of our readers have already taken a liking to top relief prospect Richard Lovelady, which is exactly what we love to see.

Since we expect to be very busy in the upcoming months, we are going to be making some improvements to the website and how we cover the Minor Leagues so that we can better cover Royals Prospects. We know that KC is going to be excited about guys like Nick Pratto, MJ Melendez, and Khalil Lee in the next couple of years, and we want to share that excitement with you guys.

Kansas City is a baseball town. No one will ever debate that again after what we saw on Sunday afternoon. We know you guys care about your Boys in Blue so we’re here to help you learn about the up and coming All-Stars that are currently being developed in the Royals system.

Part of our ability to cover Royals prospects in the depth that we do requires a financial sacrifice. Royals Farm Report is a free website that we offer to fans, but does require a price to run. We already pay for our Word Press account, and hope to soon invest in an MiLB.tv account so that we can watch every Royals Minor League game all year. We also hope to get down to Spring Training in 2018 to do some scouting and player interviews.

In an attempt to help pay for some of the expenses of running our site, we have set up a Patreon account. Patreon is a website that allows fans and readers to donate their own money to writers that they enjoy reading. Since we aren’t paid writers, your donations can help us to keep doing the work that we love to do without charging for subscriptions.

Royals Farm Report will remain a free website for our fans for as long as we can keep up with both the website and our lives and careers outside of baseball. Your donations will go along way to helping us keep KC informed on our MiLB Boys in Blue and their development through the Minors. Thank you very much, and we hope that you will continue to love the work we do!
