AAA – Omaha Storm Chasers

Final Score: Omaha 5 – Albuquerque 4

Christian Binford looked great for the Storm Chasers on Friday night, after having struggled for much of 2017. Binford pitched 6 strong innings, allowing 2 runs while striking out 5.

Ryan O’Hearn homered again for Omaha (surprise surprise), giving him 17 on the year. He finished 1-3 with a BB and is now hitting .270.

Jorge Soler finished the game 1-3 .

Frank Schwindel continues to pound the baseball. The former 18th round draft pick has been tearing up the AAA ranks lately, and finished Friday’s game 1-3 with a 2B and a BB. He’s now hitting .287 on the year.

Garin Cecchini finished 2-4 with a 2B and an RBI.

AA – Northwest Arkansas Naturals

Final Score: Springfield 7 – NWA 4

Mauricio Ramos has been really good since being reinstated from his rehab assignment, and finished Friday’s game 3-4 with an RBI to raise his average to .261.

Nicky Lopez finished 1-4 with a BB and an RBI.

Josh Staumont certainly didn’t throw his best game ever, but it was a tad better, as he only allowed 1 run in 5 innings of work. He did walk 5 batters.

Richard Lovelady finally proved to be human. He had his first bad outing, maybe ever, allowing 3 runs in one inning of work. 3 walks hurt the lefty reliever. I’m sure he’ll be fine.

A – Lexington Legends

Final Score: KAN 7 – Lexington 0

Not much to write home about on Friday for Lexington. Nolan Watson struggled on the mound and Khalil Lee struck out 3 times as the Legends were shut out. Lee did walk, and Marten Gasparini finished 1-3 as the Legends could only muster 4 total hits.

Maybe the lone bright spot on the night for Lexington was reliever Justin Camp throwing 3 scoreless innings in relief, striking out 5. His ERA is now 0.38 in Lexington.

Rookie – Idaho Falls Chukars

Final Score: Orem 13 – IDF 2

Again, not much to celebrate in the Idaho Falls loss on Friday night.

Andrew Beckwith threw 2 innings in relief, allowing only 1 run while striking out 3.

Logan Gray finished 2-4 with a 2B.

Rookie – Burlington Royals

Final Score (5 1/2 innings): Burlington 6 – KNG 1

Seuly Matias may be climbing the prospect ladder faster and faster with every single at bat. Seuly finished Friday’s rain shortened game 3-3 with 2B and 2 runs scored. His average is up to .306 on the season and Royals fans everywhere should be really excited about the up-and-coming 18-year old.

Dennicher Carrasco finished the game 2-3 with 2 RBI as he continues to swing a hot bat, his average now up to .298.

Sebastian Rivero finished 1-2 with 3 RBI and has his average up to .250.

On the mound for Burlington, 2017 draftee Daniel Tillo threw 3 innings of one run ball while striking out 5.

AZL – AZL Royals

Final Score: AZL Royals 8 – AZL Reds 1

Brewer Hicklen, the Royals 7th round pick in 2017, has been a man among boys in the AZL so far, as the 21-year old out of UAB finished Friday’s game 2-4 with a 2B, 3B, and 2 runs scored. He’s now hitting .413 in the AZL.

Nick Pratto finished the game with a BB and a run scored.

MJ Melendez finished the game 1-4 with a BB and run scored.

Malcolm Van Buren threw 4 nice innings, allowing 1 run while striking out 2.

Randy Acevedo threw 5 scoreless innings in relief, striking out 4.
