Daily Royals Minor League Recap: July 26, 2017

AAA – Omaha Storm Chasers

Final Score: Omaha 1 – Albuquerque 13

The Omaha Storm Chasers tallied 11 hits on Wednesday and somehow only scored 1 run. I’m really not even sure how that’s possible. 7 different Storm Chasers recorded hits in the 12 run loss, including 3 from Frank “The Tank” Schwindel who continues his torrid pace. Schwindel finished 3-4 with an RBI and a 2B, and is now hitting .283 on the year for Omaha, and .365 in July.

Ryan O’Hearn had a decent day at the plate, finishing 1-3 with a BB. He’s now hitting .325 in July.

Jorge Soler finished the game 2-4 and still doesn’t belong in the minors.

Logan Moon, Billy Burns, and Dean Anna all finished 1-4.

Erik Skoglund was roughed up a bit in his start, allowing 5 ER in 5 innings while only striking out 1. His ERA is now at 4.62 in AAA.

Brian Flynn was the lone bright spot on the mound for Omaha, finishing with 2 innings in relief and 4 K.
